I really do love my job! I get to share so much happiness as a wedding photographer and have so much fun too! so I thought I’d give you a little peek into what goes into my day as a wedding photographer in Kent.

Prewedding Prep – Meeting with my couple

When planning a wedding, I make sure to arrange an initial meet-up with my couple. This is the perfect opportunity for them to express the hopes and expectations they have for their wedding day photos and to share any special requests they might have.

During this meeting, I also discuss with them which shots are absolute must-haves and how these will be incorporated into their photo set. Additionally, I help by creating a plan of action for the entire day’s photography, If I’m already familiar with the venue I’ll suggest possible locations that complement their theme or look.

Sometimes my couples opt for a pre-wedding or engagement photoshoot, and it’s always so much fun! It allows them to get comfortable in front of the camera and even practice their posing skills. The results are always beautiful, natural images that capture the connection between them – perfect for displaying on their wedding day or as artwork around their home. Plus, I love getting to know my couples better before their special day!

Capturing every beautiful moment

As a photographer, there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into capturing the perfect wedding day photos.

Before the ceremony begins, I start by taking pictures of the bridal party getting ready – from helping the bride feel confident in having her picture taken to quickly setting up shots of the groom and catching the excitement from guests.

During the ceremony, I stay on my toes to make sure every moment is captured and no detail is overlooked. A lot of thought goes into this, after all, I don’t want to be standing in the way of all the guests watching the ceremony.

After the ceremony concludes, I take portraits of the newlyweds and also get creative candid shots of them as they celebrate with their family and friends. It truly is a great feeling being surrounded by so much joy in one room!

Special wedding day photography

When it comes to photography, the most special shots take some extra delicate care and consideration. I always find myself looking for a good balance of light and making sure that the backdrop works well with the scene.

In addition, I pay attention to details such as encouraging couples in posing – since this doesn’t always come naturally to clients – and moving around them in order to capture different angles from different perspectives.

I also love watching couples celebrating, which is why I’m so glad to be doing such an amazing job!

After the wedding day

After shooting a wedding day, the fun continues with post-processing. Editing each image and making sure I capture each special moment is an important part of my job. I take great care in selecting which images to bring out in the best way possible, while also creating beautiful and desirable compilations for the happy couple.

It is the absolute best feeling, to show couples their pictures and even better when I get lovely feedback from them.
